Just when I thought I caught the Lion

Today was the last week for for the FineSmith Stylista Challenge.  Of course I thought I had a winning outfit. The theme was Fashion Icon so I decided to do Coco Chanel.  I believed my outfit was a combination of both me and Chanel.  I really love my outfit even if I did not win.  I think it is very stylish and has a bit of cute in it lol ! ..... What do you guys think?

For those of you who were not there I will share my description and photos {taken by Xenobia Foxclaw, I believe she took all the picture of the models during all of the challenges, but i could be wrong} of my outfit.   Let me know what you think.

Week 10 - Fashion Icon

My description: When I learned that the theme was fashion Icon, I knew instantly I had to turn to Chanel.  She has been such a profound influence in fashion that I knew she would be the perfect designer.  My outfit today is  the spirit of Chanel.  I decided to do the clean cut but very fashionable side of Chanel.  The outfit I chose to be inspired by in choosing my outfit  was the quilted lady suit and her infamous layers of pearls.  I chose to mix and match myoutfit that best fits me and Chanel's fashion styling. I chose to wear a short jacket instead of a full length that matched Chanel's quilted outfit.    I wore a long sweater underneath because I felt it added to the idea of warmth from the quilted material.   My hat and hair shows more of Chanel in my styling but a touch of me with the curls. My nails and rings are silver to match the grey tones in my outfit.  I wear today a skirt that is my style and Chanel's together, the skirt reminded me of the many layers Chanel's outfits can have whether its jewelry or the clothing.  I wear blue pumps to match the short quilted jacket .   I was inspired by Chanel's layers of pearls but instead I used a girls best friend, diamonds!!  I chose to wear Elle earrings and layer the Diamond Fever necklace and the Ice necklace.
